Paradise Island: Recap & What I Wore

Hi everyone!!! I’m so happy to be home and writing about our trip to the Bahamas. We stayed at The Cove Atlantis in Paradise Island. I’ve been here twice before- but it was Brenton’s first time! We had some windy and rainy weather for part of our trip, so The Cove was perfect because there are so many things you can do inside and on the resort.

When we got there, we went STRAIGHT to the pool!!! I could not wait to soak up the sun. I wore my new $11 bikini from Shein and loved it. I sized up to a large, so if you order it keep that in mind! After exploring the beach, we decided to go get dressed and explore the resort. I couldn’t wait to see everything since it had been so long since my last trip there. I wore this $16 similar white sweater and my favorite jean shorts! (pictures below)

The next morning, we woke up and went straight back to the pool. This was our best weather day! It was bright and sunny even though the wind was SO CRAZY. We were not allowed to get in the ocean the whole trip because the wind and water were so intense and dangerous. BUT we still explored the beach and enjoyed ourselves! This whole trip I wore these 2 for $12 sunglasses. I got so many compliments! I also wore my favorite swimsuit of the trip- this studded triangle bikini top with these ruched cheeky bottoms. (pictures below) That night we went to NOBU for the best sushi ever, but didn’t get any pics! I wore this sassy flouncy dress :)

Our second morning was so nice and lazy. We slowly made our way out to the pool on the windiest day. We were ready for some adventure, so we rode on the Rapid River (it was so rough!!) and Brenton did one of the big slides. After that, it was time for more pool drinks… lol. I wore this $11 bikini that is currently sold out, but this $12 striped suit is very similar! (pictures below- sorry for the quality lol) That night we went to Cafe Martinique and had an amazing dinner with even better drinks! And ordered dessert and decaf coffee to the room after. YUM.

We had a rainy day on our last full day, but it was probably one of our best! It was so much fun. We braved the weather for a while before going to explore stuff inside the resort until the sun came back out. I wore this turquoise triangle bikini at the pool, and a similar knotted black skirt with my new Gucci bag to explore.

Sorry for the picture overload! I’m a creature of habit when it comes to traveling; I like to stay at the same places that I know I like. We had a great trip and I’m so glad we went! I think for the next tropical trip I will branch out and go somewhere new! Where are your favorite warm weather getaways?! Let me know in the comments! Xoxo Olivia

Tara Grinna Bikinis

Hello sunshines!! This past weekend we went to Charleston for a few days of fun in the sun. Brenton was actually originally planning to propose Saturday (before he decided to do it in Disney), so he had a few fun things planned for me- including having me pick out a beautiful new purse.. I can’t wait to show y’all which one I chose!

It was a gorgeous weekend in Isle of Palms, and we spent most of it relaxing by the pool and taking walks on the beach. I know… sounds SO cheesy.

A little bit about the bikinis before I dive in to pictures!! Both bikinis are by Tara Grinna Swimwear. I LOVE her bathing suits! They are the highest quality suits I have ever owned. The fabric they use is Italian and it is so buttery soft and beautiful. It also doesn’t pick or pill, so you can wear it by the pool with ease. I love that they offer different styles that range from full coverage to a little cheeky. I definitely have some curves and love having the option of looking cute and sassy but still covered. I also love that all of their swimsuits are made in the USA!

One more thing… I do NOT think I am a bikini model!! I just wanted to share a brand that I love and believe looks great on all different shapes and sizes. Love you guys!! Xoxo, Olivia

Colorful Barceloneta Slider Top / I wore this in a size C! This one is true to size and you can wear it a bunch of different ways!

Barceloneta Side Ruched Bottoms / These are so flattering and offer great coverage! I wore a size 6 which I would say is equivalent to a small/medium.

Black Keyhole Halter / I am wearing a size C. I LOVE this top, especially for days when you don’t want too much sun on your chest.

Black Platanos Tie Side Bikini / I am wearing a size 6. I love this bottom! It is slightly cheekier than the ruched bottoms, but still nothing near Brazilian. I am thinking about buying this black and coral bandeau top to mix and match with these bottoms!

P.S. Here is how I styled my bikini on the way to the pool Saturday! I love to throw on a white T Shirt and my favorite jean shorts over a bikini. So easy and cute! Details below.

Outfit Of The Day and Anthro Haul

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!! Today I went to the mall to do some returns, and came home with adorable goodies from Anthropologie. They are offering extra 30% off all sale items so I was able to score some major deals! Outfit details below, and my Anthro steals are featured at the end of the post.

*Click links for product details!*

I am obsessed with this slightly cropped chunky knit sweater!! It is so cozy and adorable with high waisted jeans. And it’s only $19.99!! These high waisted jeans ($70 + free shipping) are so comfortable, soft and flattering! They were one of my Christmas gifts and I’ll be wearing them on repeat all winter and spring. Tip: Topshop jeans run one size small (I’m wearing a 28 x 32 – I’m usually a 27).  These Nike sneakers are sold out everywhere- I could only find them on Ebay- but I love this option!

I also linked this marble coffee tumbler for you guys- I love to use it for my coffee instead of my Yeti. Yeti keeps my coffee a little bit TOO hot and gives it almost a burny (???) taste! Yuck. Still love my Yeti for my cold drinks though ;) The Sic Cup keeps my coffee the perfect temp and I love the cute design!

Tassel Dress by Sundress

I could not find this dress on the Anthropologie website, but it’s too cute not to share! You might be able to find it at your local Anthro. It was on sale for $29, and with the extra 30% off it was only $21!! The brand is Sundress and they have the dress I got on their website here. The long version is also super cute!! I cannot believe the deal I got on this dress- it’s still on their website for $141!

The last thing I need is another bag, BUT this embroidered bag was only $35 with the extra 30% off and it’s so cute in person!! I had to have it.

The last sale item I picked up is this gorgeous Anais Throw! I got it for around $48 with the extra 30% off! It is super fun and perfect for my guest bedroom.

Alright guys, that’s all I have for you today! Let me know what you think about my OOTD (outfit of the day) and if you find anything for yourself at the Anthropologie sale!

Liz’s Wedding Weekend

One of my best friends, Liz the Shiz, got married a few weeks ago. The wedding was an absolute dream. Everything was perfection and it was so fun spending all weekend with my closest girlfriends. I thought I would share some of what I wore on Liz’s wedding weekend with you guys.

Rehearsal dinner! (Dress; Clutch)

The rehearsal dinner was so incredibly gorgeous. It looked like a mini wedding. I wanted to wear something special to this event and decided to splurge on a few nice dresses from Revolve. They arrived the week before the wedding and were all terrible. So, I went to the mall and found this tartan dress at Nordstrom for under $70. Score. I carried this clutch that is under $50… several people even asked me if it was Chloe. To top it off I wore $30 Steve Madden block heels from Nordstrom Rack (similar here).

Morning of the wedding! (Nightshirt; Foundation)

On the morning of the wedding Liz gifted us with these adorable nightshirts. We slipped them on as we got our glam done by the Be Pretty girls. We felt so glamorous all dolled up with our matching white outfits.

Almost wedding time! (Choker)

My hot date. (Shoes)

Liz was a dream bride and let us accessorize however we wanted. I chose this choker and I cannot wait to wear it again. I think it’s sold out right now but it should be restocked soon. I wanted to be comfortable dancing all night so I wore my favorite heels. I also have them in black. Y’all… these are the real deal. They are on sale for under $50 and are the most comfortable heels ever! I went down a half size.

What are your go-to wedding looks/shoes? Let me know what your favorite pieces are and what you would like to see more of from me!

Since I’ve been so slack about posting for the last couple of weeks, I got my boyfriend to snap a few pics on our way to dinner last night. Excuse the iPhone photos ;)

I am loving this necklace I got from Forever 21 recently. It makes me feel like a true 90’s baby!

How do you feel about the choker trend coming back in style- love it or leave it?

What I Wore: Hornets Playoff Game

img_0031-1img_0030img_0036

I was so excited to cheer on our Charlotte Hornets as they beat the Miami Heat last night. I am a girly girl through and through, but the playoff game was the perfect opportunity to channel my inner Sporty Spice. I borrowed this shirsey from my guy’s closet and added my favorite white sneakers. I felt so comfy and cute all night! Thanks B for letting me use your shirt…. I like to think it was good luck ;)
