Isle Of Palms Weekend Trip

Hi guys! I hope you had an amazing weekend. We decided to go on a last minute trip to one of our favorite places, Isle of Palms. IOP is located right outside of Charleston and only a 3 hour drive from home. So when we saw that the forecast for the weekend was 75 + sunny, we packed our bags and headed down to the coast. (Warning: I didn’t get the best pics on this trip because I did not have my phone out much!)

We drove straight to Mex 1, a new (to me) Mexican restaurant on Sullivan’s Island, to meet some friends. This was my first time at Mex 1 and I am OBSESSED. The food and drinks were amazing and I love the casual cool vibe. I am definitely adding this place to my must visit list for future trips. Pro tip– order a quesadilla!!

Love beach town restaurants.

After Mex 1, we all hit the beach for a couple of hours in Isle of Palms. I left my phone in the room so I don’t have any pics, but trust me it was one of the prettiest, almost-chilly beach days! We left the beach to catch the sunset on the golf course. One of our favorite things to do on IOP is ride around on the golf cart enjoying the sunset and perfect weather.

Later that night we visited another relatively new restaurant on Sullivan’s Island- 450 Pizza Joint. This place was the food winner of the whole weekend. Their fried mozzarella sticks were unreal and I was drooling over the garlic knots at the table next to us. Pro tip– order the De Marco pizza!

My favorite restaurant on Sullivan’s Island (before this trip) used to be The Obstinate Daughter. We made reservations to go for brunch on Saturday.. I will skip the details but the service was underwhelming and it’s on my skip list for next time :) However, the interior is beautiful and the food is usually delicious so definitely give it a try.

OD interior design is amazing.

We spent the rest of the day Saturday alternating between the Wild Dunes pool and the beach. It was so dreamy! Perfect weather and company.

Saturday night we wanted to keep it low key so we caught the sunset at Morgan Creek. We ended the night with peanut butter pie AND key lime pie for dessert. It was truly a perfect day!

Saturday’s sunset was gorgeous!

I was so sad to leave! We stopped at my favorite home store Celadon Home on our way out of town where we found some gorgeous artwork that I can’t wait to hang! My travel outfit below consisted of my favorite nike joggers (I have several different colors) and my comfiest little slip on sneakers. Sunnies are sooo old but $8 from Asos! Links are below!

I cannot wait until our next trip to IOP. It truly feels like a second home to me. What did you do this weekend? Let me know the best part of your weekend!! xoxo Olivia
